Nathan Eagle

Co-founder, CEO

As one of the world’s foremost experts on mobile phones in emerging markets, Dr. Nathan Eagle brings many years of experience to his position leading Jana.
Dr. Eagle graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering, a master’s degree in Management Science and Engineering, and a master’s in Electrical Engineering. His Ph.D. from the MIT Media Laboratory on Reality Mining was declared one of the ’10 technologies most likely to change the way we live’ by the MIT Technology Review.

Benjamin Olding

Co-founder, CTO

Dr. Ben Olding leads the Jana technical team. He is responsible for the integrity and validity of all data gathered by the Jana platform. Dr. Olding most recently served as a Research Fellow at Harvard’s School of Engineering and UC Berkeley’s Department of Statistics.
Previously he completed a Ph.D. in Statistics from Harvard University. His research and thesis focused on approximate inference, the science of making decisions in the context of overwhelming amounts of data and limited computational resources. He has been granted several patents related to data and inference.

Anurag Banerjee

Head of Sales / MD APAC

Anurag Banerjee leads sales and serves as Jana’s Managing Director of the Asia-Pacific region. Anurag spent 9 years at American Express managing specialized sales teams and large channels of 800+ people, delivering more than twenty billion dollars in spend. His global sales teams leveraged end to end contractual, expense, and behavioral data to sell expense control, custom reward, loyalty, and gamification solutions to the majority of the Fortune 500.
He holds a BA in Economics, a Masters in Organizations Development from Bowling Green State University, and was sponsored by American Express to the Harvard Business School’s Program for Leadership Development.

Sheela Subramanian

Director, Business Development

Sheela Subramanian is Jana’s Global Director of Business Development. She leads initiatives related to the monetization of Jana’s products and strategic partnerships. Prior to joining Jana, Sheela spent five years at Google, where she led marketing and strategy for a range of products, including Google Advertising, YouTube, Toolbar, and Book Search. Most notably, she co-founded Google’s Global Market Development (GMD) team, which grew into a $100M revenue generating organization dedicated to serving Google’s top global customers.

Sheela holds a MBA from Harvard Business School and a BA from Stanford University.

Dan O’Brien

VP of Engineering

As VP of Engineering, Dan runs Jana’s engineering team — a responsibility that includes maintenance of the engineering process, personnel management, and resource allocation.  Oh and he still writes code!  A veteran of the online games industry, Dan spent two years as the Director of Engineering at Zynga Boston, and, before that, was cofounder and VP of Technology at Conduit Labs. 

Dan holds a BS in Computer Science and Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology.

Craig Lancaster

Chief Architect

As Jana’s Chief Architect, Craig is responsible for the scalability and reliability of the Jana platform. Prior to joining Jana, he was most recently the CTO of Zynga Boston, where he was responsible for the technical success of the studio’s efforts. Zynga Boston built and operated Indiana Jones Adventure World, which was named one of the top games of 2011 by Gamasutra and Kotaku, and also developed technology that is now used across Zynga’s flash games. Craig joined Zynga via the acquisition of Conduit Labs. Prior to Conduit Labs, he was Senior Software Architect at Everypoint, where he led the development of a mobile application development platform targeting Java ME feature phones. Craig became hooked on the excitement of building new companies at LendingTree.com, where he was a pre-IPO engineer.

Craig holds an AB from Harvard College.
